ADVENTURE CENTRE INCLUDING LUNCH

 

QUAD BIKING
Experience the sheer thrill of riding a quad bike through Namibia's boundless expanse of shifting sand dunes. After the engines are revved up and ready to roll, an experienced guide will lead you into the dune belt. Feel the freedom of riding through one of nature's great wildernesses.

SAND BOARDING
Enjoy the thrill of racing down a dune using only a wooden board. No experience is needed. Speeds of up to 80km/h can be reached for the maximum adrenaline buzz. This awesome experience is guaranteed to get the adrenaline pumping.

MINI LIVING DESERT TOUR
This Living Dunes Experience is an extraordinary exploration of the coastal dune belt which take place from the Action Venue. To the untrained eye the dunes are just a pile of sand, however, the skilled and experienced guides will introduce visitors to a wealth of desert life. Often referred to a "Living Desert Tour", we will track Palmetto geckos, sand diving lizards, the famous fog-basking tok-tokkie beetle, sidewinder snakes, spiders, scorpions, and chameleons. As we explore this breath-taking terrain, we will share a lot of information on origin, weather and the special adaptations of its inhabitants. We suggest that you wear closed shoes as the sand can be very hot from time to time.

FAT BIKING
Why not try enjoy riding up and down our stunning dunes with Fat Bikes. Although everyone appreciates the amazing scenery, a relative level of fitness and knowing how to ride a bicycle is required to fully enjoy this tour.

Spending Money


Each person will receive a travel allowance of R1 000.00.

South African rands are acceptable in Namibia. The exchange rate is 1:1. This allowance will be yours to spend at your will on non-included items, shopping in Namibia, or excursions that are at an additional cost. If you choose a paid excursion below, the amount will be deducted from your allowance before you receive it.

A quad bike excursion should be considered a must when visiting Namibia. This should be on everyone’s’ bucket list! Imagine scaling some of the largest dunes you’ve ever seen, in the oldest desert in the world. Stop at some of the iconic spots for excellent photo opportunities and for you to take it all in. It is truly an opportunity to experience the immensity of the desert and appreciate the breath-taking views.

Come explore the Namib Desert on this 4-wheel drive trip and discover its many wonders. The life- giving fog supports a wealth of fauna and flora. Sidewinder Snakes, White Lady Spiders, Namaqua Chameleons, Dancing Lizards and much more can be seen. The trip is an educational experience with excellent photographic opportunities.

This afternoon you have a choice of two restaurants to have a group lunch. This will be accommodated on a first come, first served basis.

Lighthouse Restaurant

Under the swaying palm trees at the main beach, nestled between the Museum and the Strand Hotel, you will find The Lighthouse Restaurant. Lighthouse Restaurant is the perfect venue for groups or individuals looking for a great location with a view of the ocean, a varied menu at reasonable prices, excellent food, attentive service and an amazing ambiance. The restaurant is central – walking distance from town and central guest houses / hotels, easily accessible with lots of parking nearby.

The Jetty Restaurant

Jetty 1905 is much more than a restaurant, it’s a landmark. Located at the end of Swakopmund’s historical jetty, it offers unrivalled views of the Atlantic Ocean and of the picturesque little hamlet of Swakopmund with it’s historical architecture bordered by sand dunes. Open since October 2010, Jetty 1905 has gone from strength to strength delighting tourists and locals alike with its breath- taking views, simple elegant décor, wonderful ambiance and delightful, sophisticated menu. A visit to Swakopmund simply isn’t complete without a visit to Jetty 1905.
